Postpartum Engagement Group

2167279475The period after childbirth is an emotional time.

What do you think of when you hear the word ‘postpartum’? Generally, this period is a short but intense season that most people barely consider.

At the same time, postpartum can make you feel incredibly lonely. Your body has changed, hormones are in flux, and you have a new baby entirely dependent on you. You’re not sleeping like you used to, and the time you spend with others has changed.

Maybe your relationship with your spouse looks different as you try to navigate sharing responsibility for a tiny human, or perhaps you’re a single parent, and you don’t have much help. If you have older children, struggling to manage it all becomes challenging.

These struggles might make you wish your mother were around to help, but she lives across the country. Maybe your mom lives down the street, and you would like her to come over less often!

Engage with other mothers in the same boat.

You might benefit from meeting other moms with babies rather than your mother or spouse. Meeting with other mothers allows you to share how you feel and realize that you are not alone.

Whatever your situation is, consider joining our Postpartum Engagement Group. In this gathering of moms and babies, you’ll find connection, adult conversation, and professional help, allowing you to navigate this postpartum period.

The groups meet for eight weeks. These sessions include coffee or tea, light snacks, and facilitated conversation and care for mom and baby.
