You always dreamed of being a parent.
Picturing going on walks, telling bedtime stories, cheering them on at tee-ball, even how you’d decorate the nursery.
Reading books and blogs and making all sorts of decisions, from what sleep method to use to whether you’d make your own baby food.
You decided how you would discipline your kids (because yours will NOT be the ones throwing a tantrum in the middle of Target), and how much screen time you would allow them. It was all set.
And then you had kids.
Somewhere between a high-risk pregnancy, NICU stays, and battling postpartum changes, your plans became muddled.
Adjusting to your new body, mind, emotions, and relationships has been a struggle. There’ s a loneliness you can’t shake.
Days turn into nights that flow back into days, and you feel like you’ve lost the capacity to make decisions for your family.
Looking for guidance comes with difficulties.
When you try to talk to others about how you’re doing, you get quick advice about what worked for their children.
But, deciding what to try and how to apply it to your family is stressful and confusing.
And, of course, there is the shame that you need help where this other parent didn’t.
You love your children so much, but this has been a challenge.
You’re ashamed of your mindset, but the idea of going through this same thing day after day is overwhelming.
No one is sleeping well – your babies were taking turns being up again last night. You keep hoping it will get better the next night, but it never does.
You’re so tired. Something needs to change.
You don’t have to stay in survival mode.
I have many ‘helpers’ in my toolbox to move you from frazzled to rested.
Yes, rested!
Hi, I’m Kiersten.
My passion is supporting families who are experiencing decision fatigue in parenting.
I meet with families both in person and virtually, getting to know what life is like for them right now.
We identify some of the challenges and work together to address those in a comfortable way.
Sometimes, all you need is an objective and nonjudgmental perspective. After working with hundreds of families and children, this is my specialty.
I’m here to support you from sleep problems to potty training, after school meltdowns to calls from concerned teachers, and everything in between.
As a licensed early childhood educator and certified sleep consultant, I can coach you through creating family rhythms for your days and nights. These rhythms will support the need for sleep your babies and toddlers have.
And guess what? When they’re sleeping better, you’ll sleep better, too.
If you’ve resonated with any of the above…
…if you’re overwhelmed with parenting
and tired of searching for answers,
it would be an honor to walk with your family
toward more restful and peaceful days.
